Department Head

The education period of our department, which started education in the 2011-2012 academic year, is 4 years. In the first two years of the program, there are compulsory courses such as basic design, drawing, theoretical courses such as culture and art, and the history of visual communication, as well as introductory courses related to the specified areas of expertise. Starting from the third year, while the number of theoretical courses decreases, the weight of applied vocational courses increases; Graphic design, photography, advertising, film / video workshops are selected, and a program is followed whether mixed or to specialize in the specified areas. Their areas of expertise are supported by elective courses suitable for workshops, and at the end of four years, students who progress in a specific field can receive a Certificate of Interest in addition to their diploma.

When the education is completed, the title of Visual Communication Designer is taken. Combining their skills in visual literacy with creativity and design discipline, our graduates can have a voice and find a place in almost every field of communication such as advertising, publishing, photography, two or three dimensional visualization, animation, new media, television and cinema in private or public institutions. Our graduates, who continue their postgraduate education and meet certain requirements, can continue their academic careers in visual communication design departments.
