Dersin Amacı

The objective of the department's compulsory preparatory class is to bring the department students' foreign language proficiency to B2 level and to ensure that they become fluent language users at a sufficient level in the four basic skills that form the basis of the language.
Dersin İçeriği

This course lasts for one academic year (Fall and Spring semesters) and consists of three components. This course, which is a total of 20 lessons/hours per week, consists of 15 lessons/hours of Main Course and 5 lessons/hours of language skills lessons per week. The end-of-year evaluation of the course will be done as a single course, and in order to pass the preparatory class, it is necessary to get at least 80 out of 100 points from the proficiency test to be held at the end of the academic year in which this course is taken.

1 SaUPET (Sakarya University Preparatory Class English Proficiency Test) Students can find Subject+Verb and auxilary verb in sentences, recognise the elements of a paragraph and write an introductory sentence.
2 Students can talk about daily life, express their own ideas, and make suggestions. Students know and use simple sentence patterns. They understand the importance of the reader or the target audience.
3 Students can talk and write about situations they encounter in daily life. They can talk and write about their families. Students know and use the differences between simple and connected sentences. They can determine the reasons for writing and find the appropriate writing style.
