Dersin Amacı
To teach the functions of Ottoman Turkish city, comparison of Turkish urbanism with western style. Introducing of the proximity of Turkish urbanism to modern one.
Dersin İçeriği
In this course, it is discussed the political, administrative, commercial and juridical function of the Turkish urbanism. Handling the Turkish hostelry-waqf system, it is emphasized its relations with urbanism. It is regarded that hostelry is the basis of Turkish urbanism in the course.
