Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine and reveal the theoretical foundations and application principles of the social work discipline in line with the generalist social work approach, at the micro and mezzo level, within the framework of knowledge, skill and value dimensions of social work.

 
Course Content

 

Within the scope of this course, social work as a problem solving process, social work intervention process, stages of social work implementation process, micro-level information gathering, problem determination, planning, intervention action (direct and indirect implementation actions), termination and evaluation of the profession's knowledge and skills will be discussed. Students will be informed about the principles of practice at the group level, group types, group dynamics, in-group interaction processes, group structure, and practice skills related to the therapeutic properties of the group, which are among the mezzo intervention processes.
