| Dersin Amacı | The aim of this course is to enable graduate students to develop an advanced understanding of industrial ceramic production processes and to acquire original design competency in this field. Through an approach that integrates industrial production methods and mass production principles with the design process, the course aims to cultivate students as researcher-designers who are capable of bringing innovative ideas and proposals to the field and producing practice-oriented solutions. |
| Dersin İçeriği | The course covers the theoretical and applied dimensions of basic and advanced production methods used in industrial ceramic production. Model and mold development processes suitable for mass production are addressed within the context of material selection, form analysis and production technologies. Students develop original design ideas in accordance with industrial production principles and translate these ideas into prototype and product stages to produce mass-producible solutions. The principles of functionality, aesthetics and sustainability are observed throughout the design and production process. |

| 1 | Industrial ceramic production methods, technologies and design principles are addressed within a theoretical framework. | |
| 2 | Original design ideas suitable for mass production are discussed and developed in accordance with the course content. | Market research is carried out for the products to be designed. |
| 3 | The developed designs are evaluated in terms of functionality, aesthetics and producibility. | |
| 4 | Technical drawings of the selected designs are examined and the model-product relationship is analyzed in preparation for the production process. | |
| 5 | The plaster models of the selected designs are begun to be formed. | |
| 6 | The model forming process is completed. | |
| 7 | The plaster molds of the models are produced. | |
| 8 | The production of plaster molds for the models is continued. | |
| 9 | The production of plaster molds is completed. | The completed molds are left to dry. |
| 10 | Casting application is carried out into the model molds. | |
| 11 | The casting process is repeated and mass production is continued. | |
| 12 | Retouching and surface correction processes are applied to the products removed from the molds and dried. | |
| 13 | Biscuit firing is carried out; the fired products are examined. Glaze trials suitable for the design are conducted. | |
