Dersin Amacı | This course aims to enable students: to think critically about representations of gender in a range of different media; to apply a range of theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of the media; to examine changing representations of gender in the context of wider social changes and to explore questions concerning the interpretation and use of different media formats and content |
Dersin İçeriği | This course provides the opportunity for critical investigation about representations of gender in a range of different media – film and television, rock music, new magazines, etc. In this lesson students will begin to examine changing representations of gender in the context of wider social changes. One of the main aim of this lesson is to encourage students to be part of the brainstorming and discussion sessions to analyse gender representation in media with applying a range of theoritical and methodological approaches.
