Dersin Amacı ome application areas where these alloys are especially used are crank case for zeppelin engines, gearbox housings in helicopters, air intake cases for propjet engines, frames, rims, instrument panels, fan blades for cooling towers, etc. The development of high purity alloys, with their much improved corrosion resistance, contributed to a rapidly expanding production. Beside these properties of them, further favorable factors are their low casting temperatures and the relatively low energy needed for melting. The joining of light metals, specifically in automobile production, is another concern dealing with this Course. Awareness of modern welding techniques and application of them to the light metal alloys are important.
Dersin İçeriği This course has vital importance to introduce and investigate the light metal alloys and their weldability which have potential candidate in near-future to students and researchers who are willing to study with them.
