Dersin Amacı

This course aims to teach the economic, social, political and cultural dimensions of the life of cities in different socio-cultural and historical structures, to gain the ability to think critically about the social factors that cause urban structuring, the possible social effects of physical planning decisions, and urban life and problems. 

 
Dersin İçeriği

Urban theory and concepts, the history of cities, urbanization dynamics and policies in Turkey, urban studies, urban transformation, urban segregation, environmental problems, urban poverty are discussed.
