Dersin Amacı

To provide students with basic information about security and to inform them about the dimensions of security studies.

It is aimed to address, examine, discuss and evaluate the security problems, threats and risks that the players who make up the international society in today's global relations face collectively or individually, or may face in the future, respectively. It is aimed that students taking the course will gain ideas and information about major current and future issues and problems in the field of international security and be able to form their own opinions and comments about them. A breakdown of the topics to be covered by weeks is also given below under the heading of weekly topics.
Dersin İçeriği

This course starts with an explanation of the concept of 'security' and explains security approaches during the Cold War and the following period. After presenting the theoretical dimension, current national and international security problems will be discussed.

3 Having potential and ability of development himself/herself on the career fields of public administration like governing, inspectorship and controllership. X

6 Having different views for issues, facts and cases, having capacity of proposing solutions, and preparing program and decision drafts. X
7 Following theoretical and practical developments in the fields of administration, law, politics, urbanization and environmental issues at national and international levels. X
8 Following technologies of informatics, fundamental computer programs, information systems on administration and management field, and using them effectively. X
9 Compatible for team work, having ability of taking initiative, open for innovative ideas and analytical thought. X
10 Using Turkish properly, expressing himself/herself accurately and has ability of empathy. X
11 Know at least one foreign occupational language. X
