Dersin Amacı

Changes and developments in the field of public administration both in the world and in Turkey paves way for transition from classical administration perception to new administration perception. The importance of local governments in Turkey, especially after 2004 on, has increased in congruent with reforms in local governments. Implementation of human resources management both in municipalites and special provincial administration has gained impetus. Particularly issues such as permanent staff practices, performance management in local governments have increased the importance of human resources. This lecture aims at giving information about theory and implementation of human resources management in local governments.
