Course Objective To understand classification of materials, chemical, physical, mechanical, technological, thermal and acoustic characteristic
Course Content To teach material types in usage, shapes, physical and chemical structures. To teach atomic structure of materials. To teach the affect of acid, alkali and salt to the materials. To teach unit weight, density, porosity, composite, water absorption, capillarity, permeability, volume change. To teach the concept of internal stress and strength, strength of axial loading, bending, shear and allowable stress. To each erosion, impact, hardness, fatigue, creep, rapture. Thermal stress, thermal conductivity, coustic. To teach the computation of physical, chemical, mechanical and technological characteristics.
