Course Objective

The aim of course is to provide that students acquiring knowledge about the basic concepts, theories and counseling process related family counseling; and to gain understanding about family structures to students. 

Course Content

Basic concepts and principles in family counseling, systemic family structure, functional and non-functional family structure, family life cycle, family counseling theories and their reflections on family counseling; stages of family counseling process, marriage and divorce, the effect of divorce on children.
