Course Objective

The aim of this course is to interpret nearly two-hundred-year history of childhood, children´s daily life, the traditions of children, child-rearing methods, the educational practices, with examples interpret the culture of gaming and entertainment.

Course Content

This course involves childhood in the past and present in Turkey, value of changing family and child in Turkey, archaeological works, engravings, photographs, theatrical performances, the festival, children´s publications, clothing, toys, games, includes research on the history of the childhood.
