Course Objective

Understanding the mechanisms that govern the relation between religion and State in the Middle East, the nature of social environment in the region and the role of religion both in forming the national identity of the state and sub identities, the emergence of political Islam and Islamic movements in the region and the role of Islamic history and traditions and Fiqh innovations and different school of Fiqh in forming the current Middle East.
