Course Objective

Care in social services is a service concept that is thought to cover all areas of human needs, especially social security. At the beginning of these fields are personal health conditions in the context of need for care and in other social and environmental areas (transportation, access, social activities, psycho-social and cultural needs etc.) connected with them. The aim is to identify these needs of people in need of care and to develop special care assurance systems.

Course Content

To have knowledge about social service concept, historical development and social service organizations.

To have knowledge about disabled and elderly social services in Turkey.

Establishment of a system for providing professional social care services to people in need at home and in the institution.

The inclusion of social protection and social security and the establishment of social care insurance.

Examination of care assurance systems in various countries around the world.

Try to create a model for Turkey.
