By focusing on the works of Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, to understand the story of modernization in Turkey. In this context, to analyze the relation of sociology with the notion of mentality, the connection between identity and personality, the issue of modernism, the thought of Bergson and its impacts on Turkey, conservatism, East/West problem, tradition/modernity discussions.
