Course Objective | It is aimed that; the fundamentals of the development of social work subject, as a science and an occupation, in Turkey and in the world throughout the historical process; the evaluation of social work in terms of democracy, human rights and social justice concepts; the concept and application of social work; be learned in terms of knowledge, value and ability; problem solving processes; interaction; specialist; applicant; environment; intervention processes; the collection of knowledge; the determination and evaluation of a problem; studying the funtamentals -in terms of planning, application and evaluation- of that problem; and analytical approach (aimed to) be taught in the field of social work. |
Course Content | Description of Social work, basic concepts and facts, Social Work philosophy, values, ethics, processes and approaches. The development of professional social work in Turkey and in the World throughout the history: application fields and functional characteristics of professional social work, roles, functions and occupational identity of Social Worker. Evaluation of the lectures completed. |
