Course Objective To teach to the students nanoparticles, production of nanoparticles having different chemical structures, various synthesis methods of nanoparticles, characterization of physical and chemical properties of nanoparticles and application areas of nanoparticles
Course Content Introduction and importance of nanotechnology; Metal and metal oxide nanoparticles; Ceramic nanoparticles and semiconductor nanoparticles; Synthesis and stabilization of nanoparticles; Nucleation and growth of nanoparticles; Synthesis of nanoparticles with polyol and photochemical methods; Synthesis of nanoparticles with sol-gel and microemulsion methods; Synthesis of nanoparticles with electrochemical and physical methods; Morphological and structural characterization of nanoparticles; Characterization of physical properties of nanoparticles; Surface properties of nanoparticles; Electrical and optical properties of nanoparticles; Nanoparticle technologies and applications.
