Course Objective To analyze texts, grammatical features and importance of old Uighur Turkish which belongs to old Turkish period. To make students to comprehend and analyze the old Uighur texts.
Course Content Teaching old Uighur Turks’ history, culture, phonetic and morphological properties of their language, differences between dialects, Budist, Manichaean and Christian old Uighur texts, Sutras and Jatakas. Introducing alphabets that used by old Uighurs and making text analysis.
