Course Objective Making students gain knowledge and skill of mathematical bases of cartography and map projections.In efficient using to maps, some applying skills will be gained.
Course Content Basic definitions and concepts, World and Turkish mapping, Projections, (Azimuthal, Conical and Cylindrical projections; normal, transversal and oblique aspects), Pseudo projections, General characteristics of geodetic projections.Mapping elements, Calculation of area, volume, distance and slope on maps, preparing elements of map, topographic profile analyst, elevation profile, slope and hill shade analyst and those kind of things will be done
