Course Objective

Learning the practise areas of digital photography and photographic composition information.

Course Content

With the history of photography, it is aimed to understand the basic principles of contemporary photography techniques. It is taught that digital imaging techniques can be understood and prepared in accordance with digital environment. Students learn basic digital image processing techniques and are encouraged to use them creatively in computer environment.

1 Learning of the history of photography in terms of technical, aesthetic and functional aspects.
2 Examination of the structure and types of cameras
3 Comparison of lens types and effects.
4 Examination of diaphragm, shutter and ASA / ISO values.
5 Practise of field depth and speed-motion effect.
6 Learning of Kelvin grade and white balance.
7 An examination of the history of digital photography.
8 Classification of digital camera machine types and differences between them.
9 Megapixel, resolution, DPI concepts and basic digital image concepts.
10 Basic concepts and practise of digital image processing.
11 Raw image format processing and processing on a computer.
12 The composition items in the photo: Focus Point, Golden Ratio, Texture, rhythm, balance, contrast, framing.
13 Examination of innovations and examples of digital photography.
14 Digital photography work on a given topic.
