There are various factors affecting the measurement during experiments. Some of them arise from the sensitivity of the test equipments and the other factors come from the test conditions. Defining the total uncertainty of the measured parameters clearly and inserting them into the calculated parameters gives the correctness limits of experimental study. Although the defining and calculating of the uncertainty of experimental parameters is important, the reporting the test results is also significantly important. This lessons aims to contribute these topics. Course Content 1.Introduction to experiments2.Characteristics of experimental data3.Graphical Presentation of data4.Dealing with uncertainities5.Statistical approach to variablity in data6.Fitting a line to x-y data7.Reporting experiments
