Course Objective Repair and maintenance become more important due to limited resources available and being expensive of the new products. Therefore, the aim of the course is to provide the students being informed about technical knowledge of related to fillet welding and metal spraying techniques. Moreover, thermal cutting is also quite important in manufacturing industrial areas, thus, the students have to be informed technical knowledge in those cutting techniques in case they are confidence in their future professions.
Course Content Importance of fillet and hardfacing welding. Damages occurred by corrosion and wear. The reason of damages. Repair of the damages. Fillet welding processes, metal spraying techniques, Preparation of machine parts for repairing, Thermal cutting techniques, cutting abilities, oxy-gas, torch, electric arc, gas metal arc welding, plasma and laser cutting methods, cutting quality and cutting schemes.
