Course Objective | This course is designed to equip the students with a detailed study of techniques and stages of teaching four skills (i.e., listening, reading, speaking, writing) besides teaching grammar and vocabulary. Students will be provided with many opportunities to bridge the theory and practice of language teaching through workshops where they will analyze and discuss ready-made activities and tasks and come up with their own ideas and comments. Preparing students to perform effectively in their future classes is among the aims of the course. Therefore, students will design a lesson plan in which they will integrate some predefined skills and deliver micro-teaching presentations, through which they will have a chance to critically reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of implemented lesson plans of their own and their peer’s. |
