Course Objective

To improve the ability of abstract thinking, by intensifying the concepts of matrices and determinants and the solutions of systems of linear equations to create the basis for algebra classes.

Course Content

Matrices, Matrix operations, special type matrices; elementary row and column operations, echelone matrix, elementary matrix and the inverse of a matrix; rank of a matrix; determinant, properties of determinant function; systems of linear equations, solution tecniques (Gauss elimination, Gauss-Jordan reduction method, inverse matrix and Cramer method)
