Course Objective | Bureaucracy is a phenomenon which can be found both in public and private sectors. Main objective of this course is to examine the phenomenon in theoretical and practical ways, to analyze the problems of contemporary organizations, to learn different approaches to organization and bureaucracy. |
Course Content | Definition, characteristics, and theories of bureaucracy, factors triggering to bureaucratization, bureaucracy in developing and developed countries, relations between bureaucracy and politics, negative sides of bureaucracy, historical evolution or bureaucracy in Turkey, political role of bureaucracy and relations with political authority, delimiting and controlling bureaucracy, post-modern paradigms. |
