Week Course Topics Preliminary Preparation
1 Model making methods are given theoretically
2 Important points on forming a model with a template are explained
3 Sketch drawings for objects that are suitable for this technique
4 Evaluation of the sketches with the students
5 Resizing the selected design and technical drawings
6 Technical drawings for the model
7 Starting to work on the template and model, setting up a plaster plate
8 Forming the model. Preparing the base plate and the template
9 Shaping the model with the template
10 Taking up the mold of the model done by a template
11 Mold making stage. Final touches on the mold cutting the edges and letting the molds to dry
12 Slipcasting, retouching, biscuit firing
