Course Objective | The aim of the course is to look at the values and reasons, which lie behind the emergence of local governments. The course also examines the Turkish local government units in various aspects with their duty, authority, organization, fiscal structure and relationships with administrations. |
Course Content | Definition of local governments, Importance of local governments and values behind them and local governments in the Constitution, local democracy, local governments organization, municipality, metropolis municipality, Special province districts and villages: Duties and bodies and their administration, Association of local governments, service methods in local governments, central-local governments relations, developments of local governments, relationships between local governments and citizens. |
