| Dersin Amacı | This course seeks to analyze political deveolopments in Central Asia starting from the foundation of the Soviet Union. The course will explore political relations between Russia and the Central Asian states, the policies of the Russian Federation, the USA, the EU, Turkey and China toward the region. |
| Dersin İçeriği | This course will study the ethnic, demographic and political features of the Caucasus and Central Asia. A particular attention will be paid to disputed issues that stem from historical, cultural and ethnic reasons, as well as the interventions of the global powers. Within this context, Turkey´s policies toward the region are closely analyzed. |
