Dersin Amacı Understanding the origins and history of cities, evaluating urban theories and research methods , gaining insight into the local and global urban problems, understanding local issues within a global context and evaluating urban models and policies from an academic and critical stance.
Dersin İçeriği Origins and history of cities and urban life, classical and contemporary urban theories, urban decay, de-centralization, poverty, preservation and restoration practices and their social costs, the relationship between space and privacy and finally the overall transformation of cities in a capitalist world-system.
