Course Objective

In cases where investors do not act rationally and markets do not work flawlessly, the effective market hypothesis loses its validity. The aim of this course is to introduce the basic concepts of behavioral finance to students.

Effective Market Hypothesis, Basic Concepts of Behavioral Finance, Psychological Processes Affecting Financial Decisions, Price Anomalies, Excessive Confidence Behavior in the Market, Judgment Failures and Behavioral Finance Modeling
