Course Objective

The goal of this course is to teach Java programming language to use on flexible object oriented programming concepts effectively.

Course Content

Java basics, object oriented programming, graphical interface design, graphics, multi-threaded programming, network programming, files and database applications.

1 Introduction to Java programming labguage and programming environment.
2 Variables, operators, data input/output.
3 Classes, objects, methods, inheritance and polymorphism.
4 File input/output and exceptions.
5 Graphical interface (applets): Drawing line, circle etc..
6 Interface design for data processing: Label, text box, button etc.
7 Advanced graphical interface with swing (javax).
8 Data input/output interface design with swing.
9 Graphical user interface design example.
10 Multi-threaded programming.
11 Network programming.
12 Introduction to MySQL database.
13 Introduction to JDBC connector.
14 A data base application development using MySQL- JDBC.
