Course Objective Teaching infrastructures, medium access controls, application areas of computer networks, core protocols within TCP/IP stack and studying with Wireshark packet analyzer programme. Teaching how application layer protocols have studied and implemented.
Course Content Classification of Computer Networks, LAN Technologies (Ethernet, Token Ring), TCP/IP Protocol Family, IP Subnet concept, Routing and Router, WAN Technologies, TCP/IP protocol stack, TCP/IP core protocols (TCP, UDP, IP, ICMP, ARP) and RFC documents, Wireshark packet capture and traffic analyzer programme and applications.
