Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide necessary qualifications and related terminology to be used in field of health and health management.

This course includes supplying the use of English grammatical structure effectively, and teaching of professional terminology related to health and health management.

Week Course Topics Preliminary Preparation
1 Review of tenses (Present Simple, Past Simple, Present Perfect, Modals, Present and Past Continuous, connectors such as however, therefore, in addition, then, in fact)
2 Review of Future tense, review of connectors such as because of, despite, besides, not only...but also, prefixes such as dis-, in-, en-, and suffixes.
3 Text comprehension by analyzing the main ideas, location the main idea, identifying the main idea, paraphrasing or restatement
4 Review of Relative clauses, noun clauses, text comprehension by using all reading stragies and paraphrasing the text related to health management field.
5 Practicing reading and writing skills on a certain text supplied by teacher.
6 Expanding vocabulary, analyzing difficult words, and text comprehension by analyzing the main ideas on the article supplied by teacher.
7 Analyzing structural clues of the given text ; vocabulary expansion and discussion of the text, translation of the text.
8 Words used in different senses, words that are often confused, and text analysis and comprehension of the text called "Ethical Questions in Health Care" and translation of the article.
