Course Objective | In this course, what the films are trying to explain in the social context, the relationship of the film contents to the present social problems and sociological theories will be examined and evaluated. It is also aimed to try to understand how effective the cinema is in a wider social context than we are aware of it |
Course Content | It is one of the main topics to analyze the narrative structure of films and to understand the influence of cinematic genres on making meaning. The main types of criticism will be addressed in order to gain the ability to analyze the meaning of filmin and criticize it in the sociological context, taking into account many dimensions in the formation of a film. In the process of interaction and interaction between cinema and society, the basic approaches to film criticism will be referred to the types of semiotic, psychoanalytic, feminist sociological and ideological criticism. |
