Course Objective The main objective of the course is to give knowledge and abilities for design, construction and evaluation of different kind of decision Support systems
Course Content Globalization, organizational change and the need for decision support systems (DSS). Types of DSS within organizations and their importance. Example applications in commercial, industrial and public sector settings. Models of the organization and the provision of knowledge and decision support. Overview of data and systems support for an organization: Databases and data warehousing, OLAP, Expert Systems, Knowledge Discovery systems; Knowledge analysis and the design of Decision Support Systems.
