Course Objective | The role of projects in organizations is receiving increasing attention. Projects are the major tool for implementing and achieving the strategic goals of the organization In this course, students will identify effective project management practices and their related processes. They will examine the elements of sound project management and the project management framework of initiation, planning, execution, control, and formal closing, and discover what it takes to ensure project success. Also, students will use the Microsoft Project program and prepare project shedules or cost schedules throughout the course. |
Course Content | In this course Project Management Fundamentals, Basic Terms, Project Management Knowledge Areas (Integration Management, Scope Management, Time Management, Cost Management, Quality Management, Human Resources Management, Communication Management and Purchase Management) and Project Management Process Groups (initiation, planning, execution, control, and formal closing) will be discussed. |
