Dersin Amacı
Learning general features and principal poets and works of art of last period of Classical Turkish literature, also having knowledge about the characteristic features of the poem and the prominent poets of the period with reference to the commentary of selected poems.
Dersin İçeriği
The social, political, cultural and literary statement of the Ottoman Empire in 19th century is mentioned; especially "Encümen-i Şuarâ" is explained. With a general perception to Ottoman literature in this period, biographies, the works of art, the literary style, the role in Diwan poetry, the influences on both contemporary poets and latter poets of the prominent poets are showed. Examples from their poems are transcribed, prosed and commented.
