Dersin Amacı

it is aimed to give functional piano knowledge and skills to the individuals as the continuation of Piano I course.

As a tool / instrument, piano, piano training and piano playing activities have been found primarily in important areas of music and music education areas with important functions. On the other hand, it is stated that the piano education and piano playing activity have important positive functions on the development of the individual without regard to a field or geography. Thus, it is expected that this Piano II course, which is included in the program at the point of functional piano education which can be evaluated in the auxiliary musical instrument, also has functions in broader perspectives on the individual, mainly psychomotor, emotional and cognitive knowledge and skills aimed at by the manipulation of related topics and interdisciplinary approaches.

Dersin İçeriği

This course, the second of four semester piano lessons, is the continuation of the Piano I course topics and includes theoretical and practical studies (see Piano I" Course Content "), including the same approach and all the topics:

1 - Pieces from classical music literature, etudes and scales in single sharp and single flat tones,

2 - As a continuation of work in neutral tones; scales on two hands, two octaves parallel, mixed direction and on 10th intervals,

3 - Technical and theoretical studies on cadences and modulations (tonic arpeggios, full and extended cadences in narrow series, stepping and grading systems, modulations to the parallels and dominants),

4 - Further level analysis and introduction to form information (superficially, type, expression, form, structure and harmony and counterpoint),

5 - Aesthetics and intellectual assessment, continuation of the draft and memorization topics (accompanied by socio-cultural and compositional approaches to "ears anticipation", popular culture and 20th century music etc., superficially including genres, techniques and trends in music (including minimalism, spectral music etc.)

6 - Legato ascending and descending double notes on right hand,

7 - Broader range of voices and octave keyboard dominance, to strengthen and improve the ability to sight reading and memorising,

8 - More advanced left hand accompaniment and right hand melodic lines,

9 - Two-handed articulation and culling differences in the higher level,

10 - Relatively high contrast dynamics, changes and balances.
