Dersin Amacı

This course aims to make students get analysis skills about the disciplines interested in the concept the course, particularly about four quadrants drives, PWM methods, and continuous and discontinuous currents. Besides, the course constitutes an introduction to AC machines and drives.

Dersin İçeriği

DC machines, connection types in DC machines, permanent magnet DC machines, modelling of DC machines, line commutated DC drives, 1Q, 2Q, and 4Q DC thyristor drives, chopper DC drives, 1Q, 2Q, and 4Q DC chopper drives,  braking methods of DC machines, field weakening control, continuous and discontinuous current analysis.
