Dersin Amacı

A branch in the translation studies map, which divides into two main chapters, is the field of Applied Translation Science, based on the publication of "The Name and Nature of Translation Studies" by Holmes in 1972. Within the scope of this course, the sub-topics (Applied Translation Studies, Translation Policy, Translation Aids, Translation Training and Vocational Studies) will be dealt with and the reflections on these theoretical and practical areas will be discussed taking into consideration contemporary theories.
