Dersin Amacı | It is proposed to give to graduated students some knowledge in the field of technical ceramics concerning their production methods and applicability in industrial sections. It is also planed to give some perspectives as to sintering processes and characterization. |
Dersin İçeriği | Introduction and classification of technical ceramic materials, the selection and preparation of oxide ceramic powders, special methods used for shaping of technical ceramics, sintering and sintering mechanisms, oxide ceramics such as Al2O3, ZrO2, MgO, and partial stabilized ZrO2 ceramics, application of such ceramics in thermal barrier coatings and their properties, production of SiC, B4C, Si3N4, AlN ceramics, mechanical properties of technical ceramics, areas in their applications, characterization methods of technical ceramics, case studies in the field of alumina ceramics. |
