Course Objective

It is aimed to teach basic theoretical knowledge and practical applications to interns in the field of mental health and diseases, 

Course Content

Taking the history of the patient and his relatives, psychiatric examination, file preparation and patient follow-up practices.

Recognition of common mental illnesses and learning basic treatment practices.

Learning the dosage and duration of psycho-pharmacological treatments based on diseases, drug interactions and combinations, and risky patient groups.

Learning treatment arrangements for general medical diseases on the basis of biopsychosocial approach.

Recognizing the psychiatric appearances of medical illnesses, the medical appearances of psychiatric illnesses and symptoms.

Learning the applications of basic pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions in emergency psychiatric diseases.

Learning the applications related to forensic psychiatry and sampled applications about preparing forensic reports.

Learning the psychotherapy practices widely used in the treatment of psychiatric disorders.

Gaining emphatic, non stigmatizing and effective communication skills with patients and their relatives
