Dersin Amacı

This module has two main goals: generic (employability-related) and specific (HRM-related).

In respect to the generic employability-related goal, it has three main objectives. First, to equip students with the ability to classify and analyze information effectively. Secondly, to make sure that students have the sufficient presentation skills to get their message across efficiently by visual aids such as graphs and tables, which will be quite helpful to them in almost every phase of their academic and business careers. Finally, after graduation, Sakarya HRM graduates with their strong applied HR background will be equipped with invaluable marketable skills that will distinguish them from other univesities’ HRM graduates.  As a result of their Excel proficiency, they will gain a competitive advantage in the labor market.

In terms of HRM, the following reasons can be suggested. Excel is a software package that is often used by business analysts.  Likewise, in order to be a good HR analyst, a person should know how  to process information effectively.  In this regard, having an advanced Excel  skill will give students the ability to correctly analyse HR issues and provide solutions to them. With this module, students will have the opportunity to  use HR metrics, to create  employee reports and dashboard.  Thus, students will have the opportunity to learn how to analyze a company's HR data and how to report and present them  in a clear and concise way.
