Dersin Amacı To introduce the concepts and institutions of Islamic private law to students.
Dersin İçeriği This course will deal with the main institutions of Islamic private law, including contracts, the law of obligations and the law of property.

1 The student can recite the Quran according to its rules and interpret it.
2 S/he has adequate knowledge of Arabic so that he can understand the classical and modern religious texts in his/her related field
3 S/he recognizes the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad and his physical and moral attributes and the historical process of the science of hadith, its methodology, problems, interpretation and its cultural value for the life of a Muslim. X
4 S/he relates the main topics of Islamic law (fiqh) through exploring classical and modern sources, has the ability of comparing Islamic law and other legal systems and of evaluating them in the context of Islamic legal history and theory. X
5 S/he knows the principles of Islamic belief and discusses them through rational and revelational approaches and has the ability to speculate on theological problems through scientific and rational methods.
6 S/he has an adequate knowledge of the old and new religious and political movements in Islamic history and today.
7 S/he is able to report and describe the history, concepts, institutions, main figures of Sufism.
8 S/he is able to relate the history of religious education and modern methods of education. S/he can use these methods in religious education. His/her reasoning ability, and endowment of truth thinking improves and his self-confidence increases.
9 S/he can reflect on religion and religious themes in philosophical, sociological and psychological perspectives. S/he can define the conceptual problems and the topics which have been discussed by the Muslim thinkers.
10 S/he can give an overview of world religions both living and dead-ones comparing their perception of God and sacred realms.
11 S/he relates the variant period of Islamic history S/he can look at Islamic civilization and science from political, cultural and social historical perspectives using critical and interdisciplinary approaches.
12 S/he is able to recognize the forms of Turkish Islamic Literature and can read and understand the examples of these forms. Along with the general theory of music s/he is able to recognize Turkish religious music and can practice it. S/he knows the history and the attributes of architectural and decorating arts. S/he has an aesthetical thinking.
13 S/he researches and studies interdisciplinary at the field of Religious Sciences. S/he considers scientific, cultural and ethic values in scientific studies.
