Dersin Amacı | To assess the impact of trace elements on environmental and biological systems and in many industrial processes, it is not enough to only determine total element concentrations. One element may form several different species with different toxicity, bioavailibility, and reactivity. Chromium, for instance, can form two main species, Cr (III) and Cr (VI) in aqueous solution. The former is an essential element for humans while the latter is a toxicity. |
Dersin İçeriği | Definition of chemical speciation; trace element speciation and seperation analysis; trace element speciation for toxicity in natural waters and their relations; in aqueous samples physicochemical separation methods for trace element speciation; electrochemical techniques in waters for trace element speciation; trace element speciation studies for HPLC and GC applications, the trace element speciation applications in sediment and biological systems. |
