Dersin Amacı
The object of this course is to introduce the basic concepts and issues about moral philosophy.
Dersin İçeriği
The philosophical foundation of morals, the distinction of ethics-morals, the approaches of science, religion and philosophy to morals, the place of the concepts of freedom and responsibility in ethics, Normative ethical theories, meta ethical theories and problems of applied ethics.

5 Greek Ethics: Pre-Socratic and Socratic Ethics.
6 Aristotle and Eudaemonist ethics.
7 Theological Perspectives: Outlook to the Middle-Age Ethics.
8 Descartes as a Rationalist; Hume as a Sentimentalist; Spinoza as a Determinist.
9 Midterm exam
10 Kantian Ethics: Freedom and Duty.
11 Existentialist Ethics: Camus and Sartre.
12 Meta Ethical Theories: Intuitionism, Emotivism, Prescriptivism, Naturalism.
