2 Rate distortion theory, quantization, waveform coding, digital audio transmission and digital audio recording
3 Geometric representation of signal waveforms, pulse amplitude modulation (PAM), two and multi dimensional signal waveforms
4 Optimum receiver design for digitally modulated signals over communication channels modeled as additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN)
5 Receiver error probability for AWGN channels
6 Digital transmission over bandlimited channels, power spectrum of digitally modulated signals
7 Signal design for bandlimited channels, probability of error in digital PAM signal detection
