To teach the construction of steam boiler. To teach fuels and combustion. To teach thermal calculations (temperatures, convective an total heat transfer coefficient, thermal efficiency etc.) of steam boilers. To design of furnace firebox and the convective surfaces. To teach the steam boiler strength calculations. Dersin İçeriği Introduction and classification to the steam boilers and water heaters. Construction of steam boilers. Equipments used in steam boilers: economizers, air heaters, super heaters and automatic control equipments. Fuels and combustions. Calculation of the thermal efficiency. Radiative heat transfer in furnace and furnace temperature. Design and sizing of furnace and convective surfaces. Strength calculations.
