Classification of proteins, the building blocks of proteins, amino acids, properties of amino acids, the structural properties of proteins (primary, secondary, tertiary, quaternary structures), fibrous and globular proteins, Hemoglobiv and myoglobin structure, collagen, elastin and keratin structure, Protein digestion and absorption , transamination, oxidative deamination, and urea cycle, the genetic material of cells: nucleic acids, DNA replication, RNA transcription and posttranscriptional modification, translation and posttranslational modifications, protein turnover.
